A native of Portsmouth NH, Scott spent his youth on the waters of the New Hampshire seacoast; some of his fondest childhood memories are of times on his family’s Boston Whaler, exploring the backchannels and tributaries of the Piscataqua River. Scott’s father introduced him to woodworking from an early age, culminating in the building of a rowboat in the backyard. This interest, combined with his passion for the water, eventually led him to enrolling in the Boatbuilding and Restoration program at IYRS, and later in the IYRS Marine Systems program.
With 16+ years of shipwright experience and 10+ years as an ABYC-certified Master Technician, Scott can provide whole-boat knowledge to advise, diagnose, and/or repair your boat to get you back out enjoying the water.
